The true and tried weight loss favorite Original Green Juice Recipe.  This is probably the most popular juice recipe that most people associate juicing diets with.  Although its color may be off putting to some people, it actually tastes awesome.  It is an apple based juice with a kick of lemon and ginger.  The juice gets its green color from the cucumber, celery and super food kale leaves.  The Classic Green Juice is loaded with healthy nutrients, vitamins and fibers.  The beauty of the green juice is that it is a great source of energy and is a great morning drink to help you get the day started. Redbull may give you wings but when you crash 3 hours in you feel like crap for the rest of the day and get less done, the green juice gives you a nice slow release of natural energy through the day that keeps you going till night time.

The Original Green Juice Recipe

  • 4 Apples (Green Apples if you have them on hand)
  • 1 Lime or Lemon
  • 1 piece of Ginger (approximately 2 inches)
  • 2 Cucumbers (medium sized)
  • 8 Celery Stalks
  • 16 Kale leaves with stalks

If you want, you can substitute one of the apples for an orange for a little extra sweetness. Another little tid-bit for a minty finish add a couple of mint leaves and stalks. The order in which you juice them doesn’t matter, I usually start with an apple then add greens, another apple, more greens etc.  This method of juicing allows the juice to be more evenly distributed and gives you a good distribution of all the flavors rather than having a concentration at the top or bottom of one item vs the other.  You could also stir the final product once its juice to make sure there is no separation after juicing. If you use our Uber Appliance Uber Juicer you will end up with a crisp clean almost pulp/skin free juice with very little foam/froth. The total number of calories in this green juice should be about 200 calories if you follow the recipe.
